The short answer is, Yes, Sonic Frontiers will be the first open world game of the franchise , with Sega playing that this title offers open zone platforms. Sonic will land in Starfall Islands, an open world in which he can play on platforms, solve riddles and face enemies as he usually does.
With this new open world area, players will prepare for a playability more action and combat than in previous Sonic titles. The largest world will also offer Sonic more space to run, which also means that players will have flexibility in the order they choose to address the game.
It is worth noting that the whole game is not an open world, since Sonic Frontiers will still offer linear sections known as Cyber Space levels. These levels will be played similar to the established formula of Sonic while changing between third person sections and lateral displacement in the same way as titles such as Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations.
That is all you need to know about The open world of Sonic Frontiers . If you want to get more information about this next Sonic adventure, see Frontiers’s interview with Sonic Team, Takashi Iizuka, to get more information about the new Sonic address.
