EA possibly getting the WWE video game license!?

While the release of WWE 2K22 is only a day issue, a rumor around the partnership between 2k games and the WWE ignite the Internet. Indeed, according to the comments made by the Fightful site, specialized in the wrestling, the WWE officials would have started talks to find a new partner to take care of developing the WWE games, in high perdition for many years. It is Electronic Arts that would obviously be the best placed publisher to resume the franchise, a used actor of the sports games and who has many studios to possibly restart the license on good rails. Always according to Fightful, it is the critical failure, as commercial, from WWE 2K20 (released in October 2019) that would have pushed the WWE to reconsider its contract with 2k games. It should be noted that the WWE 2K20 episode was the first to be developed entirely by the Visual Concepts Studio (NBA 2K), without the help of Yuke’s Co which was the studio attached at the time of THQ. Now that’s almost 10 years that the license is under the aegis of 2K games, it is not impossible for WWE 2K22 to be the last episode of the publisher if ever the notes and sales are not in good standing…
