The Steam Deck is in the schedule, as Valve announced in a blog entry published a few days ago. The developers also comment on that the compatibility checks for the categorization Verified for the Steam Deck in full swing are located. Means: which games with Steam Deck are compatible, should be displayed soon in the shop. On the individual Steam product pages you will then recognize how and whether the respective game can be played on the Valve handheld.

The categorization is divided into four aspects: input, seamlessness, display and system support. The developers have already begun to update the database and categorized individual games for the steam deck. As reported to RedDit in terms of updates at Steam Database, the list currently includes 67 PC games, 39 of which have received the status Verified for the Steam Deck. 23 The games currently listed do not meet at least one of the aspects mentioned above, are therefore led under playable.
For example, Valheim executes the developers that sometimes the mouse pointer or other non-steam deck-matching controller icons are displayed. Subnautica in turn loses a point because some functions seem not to be accessible with the standard controller configuration – and instead require the use of the touchscreen or the virtual keyboard. At the Witcher 3, the developers still have to work on some texts, which are displayed too small and therefore difficult to read.
Five games currently not supported
Five of the currently listed games are classified as not supported for the Steam Deck. Four of them are not surprising, they are in the VR games. At Persona 4 Golden, Valve writes to work on a support for the steam deck. In the coming days and weeks, the list is likely to grow by tens of thousands of games.
